CAN I ORGANIZE A FUNDRAISING EVENT AT MY HOME?
Thank you for your question, of course fundraising from your home can be done in several ways.Â
Here are some suggestions - Garage Sale, Scentsy at Home Party, Pampered Chef Party, and many other kinds of products that offer at home parties where proceeds go to your choise of non profit organizations.
IS YOUR ORGANIZATION TRANSPARENT?
Thank you for your question. Yes, In His Hands Family Shelter is located in our great state of Texas and falls under the chapter of Public Assistance. Due to that fact we have to follow the laws of the state and be transparent with financial records, shelter statistics, and other things that can be shared public. However, please know records or reports of any of our victims is not public, for the safety of our victims and their families we will not share their information. This also falls under the privacy act, and we will be penalized for doing so.
HOW MUCH OF MY DONATION DIRECTLY SUPPORTS THE CAUSE?
That is a great question, your proceeds go 100% to the organization for the specific uses of clothing our victims, since many just come with the clothes on their backs, personal hygiene products for our victims, classes, resources, the functionality of the shelter, gas for transportation of our victims and their families, this also helps us create activities that will assist our victims to recharge and relax by providing a garden, a wood working workshop, an art class, music class, designing classes, and many other activities we will have their for them to participate in.
