RACHEL FUENTES

CEO- Chief Executive Officer - Co- Founder

Advocate, Educator, Social Media Marketing, Graphic Design, Web Design, Finance Manager, Survivor.

Rachel Fuentes, born on June 20th, 1977, in Houston, TX where she is the full time CEO and Co-Founder of In His Hands Family Shelter (IHHFS). A Graduate of American Military University in Graphic Design & Marketing, also a Certified Graduate in the Humanity Studies of Human Rights, Human Trafficking, and Psychological Trauma Enforced Abuse from St. Thomas University School of Law.

Rachel Fuentes is a remarkable woman who has dedicated her life to helping victims of domestic violence and human trafficking. As part of In His Hands Family Shelter, she is passionate about advocating, educating, and assisting those who have suffered from these crimes. Rachel's personal experience as a survivor has inspired her to make a difference and shed light on these silent epidemics. Her determination and passion are truly inspiring, and we should all join her in the fight against domestic violence.

JOSEPH FUENTES

COE - Chief Officer of Engineering - Co - Founder

Advocate, Educator, Mentor

Joseph Lee Fuentes born and raised in Fredericksburg, Texas, January 7th, 1977. Currently operating as the chief officer of engineering for In His Hands Family Shelter (IHHFS). A graduate from American Military University receiving a Bachelor of Science in information technology management. Continued education to include several certificates such as being awarded master's certificate, in guitar/songwriter from Berklee College of Music. Other Certifications would include in Google's cyber security and AWS cloud solutions architect.

 

He is known as a humanitarian with a strong passion to help women and children in need. His former experiences would include working with MHMR residents, juvenile corrections working alongside troubled teens and state hospitals. He has attained extensive experiences fostering forgotten children in the foster care system.

 

He currently is advocating his spouse by utilizing his technical skills, abilities and military background to aid in the cause to spread awareness, education and providing much needed resources to recipients of violent crimes against women and children. His military background and training instill a personal drive to instill Adsit those that are vulnerable and in need through guidance, training and protection. He currently continues to pursue and aid IHHFS colleagues spread awareness throughout the communities.

Jeffison R Wint

COO - Chief Officer of  Operations - Co - Founder

Public and International Spokesman for IHHFS.

Jeffison R Wint was born on January 24th, 1987, and is well-known for his work in the ministry as a Holiness preacher and counselor for over a decade. Additionally, he is the Co-founder and current COO of In His Hands Family Shelter (IHHFS).

Originally from Manchester, Jamaica, Jeffison R Wint has exhibited a dynamic and charismatic leadership style from a young age. In high school, he was appointed as the President of the Student Council, Deputy Head Boy, and peer counselor. After completing secondary school, he entered the hospitality industry and quickly established himself as a success in the tourism sector. At the age of 17, he was even featured in a book on Jamaican tourism.

Subsequently, Jeffison transitioned into the role of a wine specialist at Sandals Royal Plantation in Ocho Rios, Jamaica, where he lectured leaders of the culinary institute of America and had the opportunity to serve the former Prime Minister, Honorable Edward Seaga. His exceptional service at Country Style Institute for Sustainable Tourism earned him a recommendation from another Prime Minister, the Honorable Bruce Golden.

Jeffison R Wint is an accomplished hospitality industry professional, having achieved significant success while leading the team that secured the Observer Food Awards for the best wine experience in 2008 at Sandals Royal Plantation in Ocho Rios, Jamaica. Upon relocating to the United States in 2011, Jeffison joined the management team at Ocean Place Resort and Spa. Here, he worked closely with Executive Chef Mike Gelleto on reality shows and charity dinners, demonstrating his exceptional ability to pair high-quality wines with exquisite cuisine. In one noteworthy occasion, he showcased his skills during a charity dinner hosted by Governor Chris Kristi and the Francis Foundation.

 

Despite his successful career in the hospitality industry, Jeffison realized that his true calling was to serve in the ministry. He left the hospitality industry and became an evangelist at The Living Word Center Apostolic Church. Following this, he was sent to Georgia to oversee a local congregation with his wife, Anessa Wint. As a spiritual counselor, Jeffison has had extensive interactions with numerous individuals who have experienced domestic violence. These encounters fueled his passion for advocating for victims of domestic violence, particularly women and children.

 

Jeffison is currently the COO and Spokesman for IHHFS, utilizing his hospitality background to help families in need by advocating for survivors and being the voice for those who have experienced domestic violence. His journey from the hospitality industry to ministry is an inspiring reflection of his deep commitment to serving others. His work stands as a testament to his dedication to the well-being of families and his unwavering commitment to being a part of the fight to end domestic violence.

It is incredible how one small idea can grow into something truly special. In His Hands Family Shelter is rooted in the belief that we all have an inherent responsibility to make a meaningful difference in our community. With a variety of active projects and a dedicated volunteer staff, we harness our skills and resources to successfully achieve our goals.

 

Since our founding in 2023, we are proud to see how our activities will benefit our communities and beyond. However, it's not where we started, all 3 of us have been advocating for many years, over 20 plus to give you a time frame, we have served in many ways survivors of domestic violence and human trafficked victims.
